Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

These Terms and Conditions reflect best practices at the time of writing and comply with current New Zealand law, including the Privacy Act 2020. This page may be updated periodically. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions outline the rights and responsibilities of both Wildflower & Willows and its clients. By booking and attending a session, you agree to the terms outlined below. These may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in practice or legal requirements.

2. Therapeutic Services

Wildflower & Willows provides clinical creative arts therapy for children, young people, and adults. Sessions are informed by evidence-based approaches and tailored to the individual needs of each client.

Creative arts therapy is not a crisis service or substitute for psychiatric diagnosis or medication. If we believe that another service would better meet your needs, we will discuss a referral.

3. Confidentiality

All sessions are confidential. However, there are a few exceptions to this, including:

  • If there is a risk of harm to the client or others.

  • If there are concerns about child safety or abuse.

  • If required by law (e.g., under the Oranga Tamariki Act or in court proceedings).

Where possible, we will discuss these concerns with you before sharing any information.

4. Privacy

We collect and store personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy. All client records are stored securely and are only accessible to your therapist or with your written consent.

5. Fees & Payments

  • All session fees are agreed upon prior to the first appointment.

  • Payment is due at the time of session unless otherwise arranged.

  • Funding support (e.g., disability, ACC, MSD) must be confirmed in advance.

  • Missed sessions with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full rate unless due to sudden illness or emergency.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give as much notice as possible. Consistent attendance is important for therapeutic progress.

7. Safety and Conduct

We are committed to creating a physically and emotionally safe environment. Aggressive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services.

8. Intellectual Property

All resources, artworks, session materials, and website content are the intellectual property of Wildflower & Willows unless otherwise credited. They may not be reproduced or shared without permission.

9. Consent to Engage

By engaging in therapy, clients (or caregivers of those under 18 years of age) give consent to participate in creative arts therapy. We will also ask you to complete an intake form and discuss informed consent prior to the first session.
